Our Story
Woodridge Congregational Church was founded in 1950 as the neighbors of the Garden City and Woodridge areas came together around shared faith, commitment to justice, and authentic community. What began in the basement of a house on the corner of Budlong and Jackson Roads, expanded into the building we have today, dedicated in 1958.
Today Woodridge is a multigenerational congregation of around 165 members with a weekly worship attendance around 75. Our members primarily live in Cranston and surrounding towns including Warwick, West Warwick, and Coventry.
We have shared our building with the First Korean Church of Rhode Island since 1980 and are blessed to occasionally worship alongside their congregation and partner together in ministry.
Our charming and cozy sanctuary was recently featured as the wedding venue in the 2025 film, Ella McCay.
