Our worship blends traditional Protestant liturgy with creativity and participation. Alongside hymns, prayer, and scripture, we regularly explore themes that connect faith with everyday life and the world around us.

Worship begins with a wide welcome into the gift of the present moment and opportunity to enter into God’s sacred story. We often incorporate contemplative practices into our prayer and liturgy.

The music at Woodridge is a mix of classic Protestant hymns, contemplative Taizé music, and some contemporary pieces. You’ll often hear pipe organ, piano, and hand chimes on the same Sunday. We occasionally feature the RI Sax Quartet and love when our members offer special music.
-
At Woodridge, we lean heavily toward participation over perfection. Members serve as liturgists and scripture readers and sermons will often have a tangible invitation to respond to the Word. It is not unusual for Pastor Aidan to invite youth to help serve Communion during the passing of the peace.

Sermons at Woodridge are anchored in the power of stories and our shared humanity. We seek to discern God’s will for us as revealed in scripture, tradition, and the Spirit and to connect the morning’s text to contemporary life in accessible ways.
