<image:title>Children & Youth Ministries - Faith formation at Woodridge</image:title>
<image:caption>Vibrant and lifelong faith is nurtured and cultivated in our family and home lives. At Woodridge, we believe that parenting is a sacred practice of faith and believe that the church is called to love and care for all of God’s children. All children are wise, sacred, and full members of the body of Christ. At Woodridge Congregational Church, we partner with our families to create a supportive and brave community devoted to loving and serving our children, youth, and families. From our worship services, to our faith formation programming, to our mission outreach, we are intentional about child and family participation and inclusion. Together we explore the history, stories, and traditions of our timeless faith and participate in Jesus’ ministries of justice and peace.</image:caption>

<image:title>Children & Youth Ministries - Sunday School</image:title>
<image:caption>Children gather for our Sunday School during the worship service. Children begin in the sanctuary with their families for worship and are invited to join Pastor Aidan for the children’s message. After the message, children go down to the Sunday school area for their lesson. This year we are using the Spirit & Truth curriculum. Lessons intentionally connect worship and faith formation by exploring scripture and stories in age-appropriate ways through questions and activities. Our Sunday School also often includes service-based learning projects drawn from the interests and passions of our youth. Our children recently collected art supplies to donate to the therapeutic art program at Bradley Hospital and learned about mental health awareness. To connect Sunday School with the intergenerational community, we celebrated a Mental Health Awareness Sunday in worship. Please feel free to reach out to Laura Dillon, Christian Education Chairperson, with any questions or concerns: ladillon86@gmail.com or 401-439-4853.</image:caption>

<image:title>Staff & Leadership - Rev. Aidan Myers Kelley, Pastor</image:title>
<image:caption>A native of Stoneham, Massachusetts, Pastor Aidan began serving at Woodridge in September 2024. He is ordained in the United Church of Christ and is a graduate of Boston University School of Theology. Aidan also received a Masters of Education in School Counseling from Providence College in May 2019. Prior to joining the staff at Woodridge, Aidan served as the Associate Minister at Mystic Congregational Church in Mystic, CT. Aidan is married to Kathryn Kelley and is the father of Abraham and Louisa. He and his family live right here, in Katie’s hometown of Cranston, where Katie teaches high school Italian. Aidan is grateful to be a part of Woodridge Congregational Church, where he has the opportunity to dive deeply into the questions and mysteries of our faith and what it means to be human with people of all ages. He believes in the power of shared stories, humor, and a sense of wonder to spirit our walk with Christ. He is always looking for tennis partners, loves books, movies and games, and jumps at the slightest excuse to grab a cup of coffee. Email — 401-942-0654 (office)</image:caption>

<image:title>Missions - Cranston Interfaith Food Pantry</image:title>
<image:caption>The Interfaith Food Ministry, Inc. was founded in 1993 by seven Cranston churches to distribute food to households in need of emergency food in the Cranston area and in the South Elmwood section of Providence, without respect to race, religion, or national origin, and in accordance with biblical commands to feed the hungry, express faith in God through works of mercy, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. How to Support the Interfaith Food Pantry at Woodridge Woodridge Congregational Church volunteers on the second Saturday of each month to distribute food to pantry guests from 10 am to 12 pm. A team of five or so volunteers organize the food, greet and check-in guests, and distribute food. If you are interested in serving in this way, please email Pastor Aidan to be added to our volunteer email list. In addition to volunteering, the food donations from our congregation help to ensure that the food pantry is well stocked. Along with our tithes and offerings, we collect donations of canned and dry foods each Sunday. You may also drop off canned and dry foods anytime in the large donation box next to the Jackson Road Parish House entrance. Thank you for your generosity and continued support of the Interfaith Food Pantry!
